Summary
The 2005-2006 High Altitude Balloon Team initiated the project at WSU starting from scratch and conducting two successful launches. A dramatization video of the the year's activities was also made.
Launches
Launch 1
The first launch, on January 15, 2006, resulted in the first successful launch, but recovery by the team was unsuccessful due to communication failure. The system was recovered months later in a farm field in early spring. The launch resulted in 125 photos of the launch preparation and 247 photos taken during flight, with a spectacular view of Dayton, Southeast Ohio, and northern Kentucky (Google Earth view).
Launch 2
Experiments
Many experiments were done, and resulted in a final report given at the end of the senior design project.
