Steve has earned three engineering degrees from Wright State University. A Bachelor's in both Mechanical Engineering (1989) and Electrical Engineering (2007) and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (1995). Steve was a part of the 2006-2007 High Altitude Balloon Team as an Electrical Engineering Senior, after graduation he elected to stay with the program as an advisor. As an advisor he makes contribution to improve the launch system enabling current student to concentrate on the design and development of their projects. Steve has applied his experiences as a licensed FAA private pilot to the project and has earned his Amateur Extra radio license.
