Dr. Gripper joined Wright State University as an assistant professor in the fall of 2006. She received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2000. She received both her M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2006) in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) with concentrations in Human Factors Engineering also from NC A&T SU.
Dr. Gripper's research interests include speech intelligibility testing, usability engineering, physical ergonomics, and human workload and effectiveness. Her research has been published in the International Journal of Safety and Ergonomics and various conference proceedings. She has taught and assisted with various undergraduate courses including ergonomics, intro human factors, methods of industrial engineering and safety engineering. Dr. Gripper is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Alpha Pi Mu.
