In reaffirmation of and in concert with our common beliefs of advancing the field of rehabilitation technology and the increased provision of technology for people with disabilities; we, the membership of the Ohio Rehabilitation Technology Association, in an effort to provide honest, realistic services and hold paramount the welfare of persons served, agree to adhere to the following principles:

Act with integrity, honesty and impartiality;

Maintain confidentiality of privileged information;

Accept responsibility for personal actions;

Maintain competency in declared area(s) of expertise;

Avoid conflicts of interest;

Respect other members by assuring that any discussion, comments and criticisms are positive/constructive;

Protect the safety, health and welfare of the public by personally speaking out against abuses related to the field of rehabilitation technology;

Recommend and/or purchase appropriate services from competent sources;

Comply with laws and policies that guide professional practice;

Abstain from representing this organization through personal statements/opinions; and

Uphold the standards of this organization.
