Fred Garber, Ph.D., EE, and Steven Worrell, Research Scientist, EE, have received funding in the amount of $26,418 from the Department of Defense Air Force Research Laboratory for their proposal entitled "Intergovernmental Personnel Agreement/Specialized Research."
Oscar Garcia, Ph.D., CSE, participated as a panelist in the "Certifications of Computer Technology Professionals" panel presented by the Dayton Advocates for Computing Women, March 2000, at the Russ Center.
Marian Kazimierczuk, Ph.D., EE, (with A. J. Frazier) has published a paper entitled "DC-AC power inversion using sigma-delta modulation" in the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, Part I, Vol. 46, pp. 79-82, January 2000.
Ling Rothrock, Ph.D., BIE, presented a paper entitled "Developing Performance Metrics in Pre-Deployment Systems Using the Abstration Hierarchy" at the Advanced Simulation Technologies Conference, Washington, DC, April 18, 2000.
J. Mitch Wolff, Ph.D., ME, and Peter Koch, BSME (1997) and MSME 1999, presented a paper entitled "3-D Vortical Gust Experimental/CFD Comparison for High Speed Flows" at the 5th National Turbine Engine High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) Conference in Chandler, AZ, March 2000.
Dr. Wolff also published a paper with co-authors Peter Koch, BSME (1997) and MSME 1999, and William Copenhaver, AFRL, entitled "A 3-D Computational Investigation of Vortical Forcing Functions Generated by Inlet Guide Vanes" in the Proceedings of the 8th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena and Dynamics of Rotating Machinery, ISROMAC-8, Vol. 1, pp. 94-101, March 2000.
Mike Reynolds recently joined the Department of Biomedical, Industrial, and Human Factors Engineering as a Senior Scientist in Human Factors Engineering. He will be managing an on-going research effort with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science (1986) and Master of Science (1990) degrees in Human Factors Engineering from Wright State University. Mike also serves as the President of the Wright State University Alumni Associations Board of Directors, a role he has held since 1998.
Mikes wife, Sheryl, is also an alumna of Wright State University. They have two childrenKaitlyn and Bradley.
