Campus and College Visits

Interested in learning more about us? There are several opportunities to visit Wright State and the College of Engineering and Computer Science throughout the year. If you aren't able to visit on one of the days listed below, you are always more than welcome to contact us and schedule an individual appointment or take a virtual tour of the Russ Engineering Center.

Off-Campus College Fairs

The College attends numerous college and career fairs at high schools throughout the Midwest region. These events provide a great opportunity for you to stop in and talk with a College representative about our programs and Wright State.

If you know of college fairs in your area that we are not currently attending please contact Jenny Garringer at jenny.garringer@wright.edu and we will try to add the location to our schedule.

We are currently planning our Fall 2008 College Fair schedule. The new dates for the fall will be posted over the summer.

Tours and Individual Visits

The Office of Admissions offers 90 minute walking tours of the campus at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. To schedule a campus tour, you can register online or call the Office of Admissions at (800) 247-1770 or (937) 775-5700.

The College of Engineering and Computer Science offers tours on an appointment basis, which can be scheduled in conjunction with campus tours. If you are interested in meeting with someone from the College of Engineering and Computer Science or any of our four departments, please tell the Office of Admissions when scheduling a campus tour or contact our office directly at (937) 775-5001 or email Ann Wright at ann.wright@wright.edu. Assess (formerly called NEAS+)

Friday, June 27, 2008 - 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Assess is an academic diagnostic for students preparing to study engineering in college. It offers high school students a "snapshot" of their thinking and reasoning ability within subject areas important to success in college engineering or technology programs. Students answer the questions in the test, verify their answers, and work with the solutions provided on the day of the test. Students find out the content area in which they have a solid grounding and those in which they need to spend more time.

Several options are available on the test day. Parents may attend a special session just for them while the students are taking the test. We also offer tours of the Russ Engineering Center and the campus after the test is completed.

Optional items typically available on test dates:
Parents Session --> 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Tour of Russ Engineering Center --> 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Tour of WSU campus --> 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

The informational session for parents is a great opportunity to get answers to questions on the college search process, our engineering and computer science programs, general information on Wright State, and anything else that comes to mind.

To register to take the test, please download the registration form and mail it, along with the $10 fee, to the address provided on the form.
