Dr. Chung's current research interests include database, data mining, Grid computing, text mining, XML, and parallel and distributed processing. He has published over 30 journal papers and 50 conference papers in these areas, and served as the Program Chair of the IEEE International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence in 2008, the General Chair and Program Co-Chair of the IT Symposium of the US-Korea Conference on Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship - UKC 2007, 2007, and an Associate Editor of Int'l Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools (IJAIT), published by World Scientific. Dr. Chung has graduated 8 Ph.D. students and numerous M.S. students.
