Dr. Thomas C. Hartrum received his B.E.E. and M.S. (Electrical Engineering ) in 1969 and his Ph.D. in 1973, all from The Ohio State University, and an MBA from Wright State University in 1979. He joined the WSU faculty in 2000 upon retirement from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), where he was an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, being on the faculty there since 1977. Dr. Hartrum's teaching and research interests are in software engineering, especially formal methods, automated synthesis of software, and distributed software agent systems. He also has background in database systems and in parallel and distributed simulation.
