Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
The Bachelor of Science program prepares students for careers in computing by
providing a thorough foundation of physical science, mathematics, and computer
science. By selection of CS/CEG electives and an elective concentration,
students can tailor the program to match their special interests. The elective
concentrations combine computer science with many areas of science, business, or
the arts.

be taking as you pursue your Computer Science Degree!
We offer four degree concentration options for the Bachelor of Science program;

- General Computer Science
This option allows students to tailor electives to match their
interests and even pursue a minor in another discipline. Graduates have
careers doing software engineering and development, graphics programming or
specific application development.
- Bioinformatics
Interested in Forensic Science?
Bioinformatics is a new and rapidly evolving
discipline that has emerged from the fields of experimental
molecular biology and biochemistry, and from the artificial
intelligence, database, and algorithms disciplines of computer
science. More information about bioinformatics at Wright State can
be obtained from the Bioinformatics Research Group
(BiRG).
- Business
Additional course work in Business, Economics and Accounting
leads to careers doing database design and management, application
development or systems analysis.
- Computational Science
Combine courses in numerical methods and techniques of tools of
computation to pursue careers in software engineering, research &
development, mathematical applications and problem modeling & analysis.
