ITRI’s research program emphasizes five broad technical areas within information technology which have significant commercial relevance to Ohio industry as well as recognized faculty expertise at WSU. These areas are Software Engineering and Database Systems, Human-Computer Interaction and Multimedia, Intelligent Information Systems, Parallel/Distributed Systems and Networking, and Bioinformatics and Bioengineering. Overlap among these areas reinforces productive interaction among ITRI researchers and promotes greater synergy in our research and development endeavors.
