A member of the Engineering Accreditation Commission, Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) following eight years as a program evaluator for metallurgy/materials programs representing TMS. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC) and on the Advisory and other committees of the Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI). Dr. Thomas has had a sustained record of funded research in deformation processing and mechanical behavior of advanced alloys.
