Welcome to the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering
The Department offers Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees in both
Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. The option to
minor in Materials Science and Engineering at the undergraduate level is
also available. All of our programs are fully accredited by the ABET
Engineering Accreditation Commission. Our goal is to equip our students
with the necessary tools to become successful and ethical leaders within
the ever growing engineering field. Our faculty members embrace
student-centered teaching methods and many have been nationally
recognized for their teaching and research accomplishments. We strive
to instill in our students the importance of adapting a global
perspective, as part of this initiative, we currently have study abroad
opportunities available specifically to engineering students.
