Senior Design
Senior Design is a capstone course that encompasses the foundational
knowledge gained throughout the program. The goal of this two
quarter course is to showcase this acquired knowledge in the
development of a design project. Groups of four to five students
are assigned to each project, as determined by the student's interest.
This enables students to build strong team working skills applicable
to real world working environments. A few of the projects are even
interdisciplinary, which adds to the validity of the real world
experience. At the end of the twenty weeks, students must present
their accomplishments at the Senior Design Review. Generally,
students are eligible to begin their Senior Design work sometime
in their junior year, but they should always consult with their
advisor to ensure that they have met all the requirements. Enrollment
in the Senior Design course requires Departmental Permission.
