Call for Papers
Analysis of Volumetric Images
Papers are solicited on topics related to analysis of volumetric
images. Volumetric images are images represented by three- or
higher-dimensional arrays. These are generated by imaging devices such
as medical scanners or simulation procedures. This special issue is
devoted to methods that analyze such images. Emphasis will be on
techniques that analyze volumetric images as a whole rather than slice
by slice. General algebraic, geometric, statistical, topological and
structural techniques independent of application are of interest,
although innovative techniques that use knowledge about images in a
particular domain to analyze images in that domain will also be
considered.
