The air intake is this clear tubing. The white ring holds an air velocity sensor, from which the volumetric flow rate can be calculated. The clear tubing goes around a 180 degree bend into the air cleaner. From there, it enters the gray tube in which a thermocouple is placed to measure the inlet air temperature. Another thermocouple measures the temperature of the exhaust gases.
