Admission Requirements
You
may be admitted to the Ph.D. in Engineering Program after satisfying the admission
requirements set forth by the School of Graduate Studies, including a record
that indicates potential for a career in engineering research as evaluated
by the program's admission committee. You should come to the program with a
good understanding of engineering fundamentals. If you are an international
student, you must have completed the M.S. degree to be considered for the program.
The minimum admission requirements set forth by the program are as follows:
- a B.S. from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum 3.0 grade point average
- an M.S. from an engineering program, with a minimum 3.5 grade point average
- Statement of Objectives
- 3 Letters of Recommendation
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores on the quantitative and analytical parts of the general exam
- TOEFL scores (for international students)
If you are a current Wright State M.S. student, please include the following in your Statement of Objectives:
- what research you have done
- the name of the professor with whom you will do program research, but only after this has been mutually agreed by the professor
- the names of two WSU professors who will serve as references
