  • Taylor03 Data Visualization & Analyses Node: A new head node being added to taylor cluster, designated taylor03, will be available for user to analyse and remotely visualize very large data sets up to 8 GB.  This new node is upgradable to a maximum of 32 GB along with a second dual core processor.

  • Taylor Cluster Operational: The newest Beowulf computer cluster at Wright State University named Taylor, in honor of Charles Taylor who help the Wright Brothers in the quest for human power flight, is now operational.  Currently, Taylor consist of 2 head nodes (taylor01 and taylor02), 92 compute nodes, and a 3 TB file server for user storage.

  • Orville Cluster Downtime this Summer: The Orville and Wilbur clusters will experience downtimes this summer for relocation and maintenance.  Further information about this will be posted here once specific dates are available.  If you are currently using the Orville or Wilbur cluster for your research, it is advised that you obtain an account on the Taylor cluster and begin transferring your work to the new system.
