About SOC HFES

The Southern Ohio Chapter (SOC) of Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) is a local group which is part of the National HFES. SOC HFES has general meetings the 3rd Wed of every other month, starting in January. These meetings focus on a Human Factors topic and last about one hour -- 30 minutes for socializing and 30 minutes to listen to the guest speaker.

SOC HFES Charter

The Southern Ohio Chapter (SOC) of Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) has served the human factors profession since 1964 by:

1. Promoting the objectives and programs of the parent organization at the local level.
2. Serving as a link between local members and the parent organization.
3. Providing opportunities for professional and social interaction.
4. Providing a forum for the stimulating exchange of human factors information, methods, and ideas.
