My research topic for EE 745 this quarter is Bluetooth Wireless Technology (Bluetooth). Most of the information that I have gathered on this topic has been in the form of articles, many from various IEEE magazines, as well as from the Internet. Since Bluetooth technology is relatively new in the field of Electrical Engineering, I found it difficult to find pieces in the form of papers/journals.

For the project, I intend to introduce Bluetooth by first talking about its history and main purpose. The articles that I have been going through go on to talk about the specifications of the Bluetooth setup. They talk about various problems that the Bluetooth system might run into as mentioned in the letter titled "Interference Between Bluetooth Networks" by El-Hoiydi. The articles also talk about the future of Bluetooth and the countless applications that it has in the short-range communications field.

Overall, I want to go over what Bluetooth is, how it evolved, what makes it work, and finally what it is capable of in the years to come. Hopefully I will also be able to show some simulations of its performance. I am still in the process of gathering that information.
