Wright State University Student Chapter

ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, is an international scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing the arts, sciences, and applications of information technology. With a world-wide membership of 80,000, ACM functions as a locus for computing professionals and students working in the various fields of Information Technology.

IEEE Computer Society's vision is to be the leading provider of technical information and services to the world's computing professionals. The society is dedicated to advancing the theory, practice, and application of computer and information processing technology. Through its conferences, applications-related and research-oriented journals, local and student chapters, technical committees, and standards working groups, the Society promotes an active exchange of information, ideas, and technological innovation among its members.

The WSU local chapters of ACM and IEEECS have merged because our goals are the same to give its members the tools they need to stay current with computing technologies, while growing personally as well as professionally. The Chapter will plan and perform activities in accordance with this goal. The Chapter will encourage its members to expand their knowledge of computer technology, and aid its members in doing so in any way reasonably possible. We also have fun!
