The Research on Assistive Technologies (RAT) Symposium is a new academic leading forum in quality and innovation dealing with Research on Assistive Technologies. RAT provides an interactive platform for exchanging knowledge and presenting scientific achievements from different scientific and engineering disciplines with a common goal to assist people with disabilities. Keeping this objective in mind, RAT solicits original contributions in the following major areas:

• Research Contributions for Visual Impaired Individuals and Elderly

• Research Contributions for Hearing Impaired Individuals and Elderly

• Research Contributions for Paraplegic/Motor Control Disordered Individuals and Elderly
