Computational Nonlinear Aeroelasticity for

This research focuses on dealing with the problem of airframe integrity by optimizing structural design. The goal is to maximize performance while minimizing weight. This research specifically looks at hypersonic vehicle design using multi-physics modeling of flow-behavior with high fidelity simulations. It integrates aerodynamics, structures, and controls with reduced-order systems for computationally efficient preliminary designs. |
