Wright STEPP Mr. Clark Beck Sponsors: WPAFB, Dayton Public Schools, WSU An area of significant concern in engineering and computer science is the underrepresentation of certain groups in the profession. Often, by the time students in these groups complete high school, its too late to interest them in engineering and computer science programs, or its too late for many of them to deal effectively with the academic requirements of such programs. Wright STEPP is a joint effort of Wright State Universitys College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Dayton Public Schools, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base that actively identifies students early enough in the process so they can be exposed to technology, motivated to study it, and be given the academic tools to succeed. |
