• Apple's List of Science & Engineering Software
• Research from the Advanced Computation Group (Apple)
• The MathWorks, developers of Matlab - Matlab for Macintosh is ( or at least was ) available in the bookstore
• Wolfram Research Inc., makers of Mathematica - the University has a multi-platform site license for this software which includes the Macintosh
• MacTeX - TeX/LaTeX on Macintosh
• OzTeX - an implementation of TeX/LaTeX for the Macintosh. The University has a site license for this.
• ADInstruments - makers of data acquisition equipment for the Macintosh
• Vernier Software - lab equipment for use with the Macintosh
• Data Translation - they make some USB data acquisition equipment that run on Macs.
• Deneba Canvas - already used by members of the College faculty for creating figures for reports
• SPSS, Inc. - makers of statistical software for the Mac, they've recently announced they will be shipping SPSS 10 for Mac OS X.
