Dr. Livny received his Ph.D from the Weizmann Institute of Science,
Rehovot, Israel in 1984. His interests include High Throughput Computing,
Visual Data Exploration, Experiment Management Environments, and Performance
Evaluation.

Dr. Mateti received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1976, his Masters' in Computer
Science from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, India in 1972. He
has directed nineteen MS theses and three Ph.D dissertations. Dr. Mateti is
interested in distributed computing, operating systems, programming language
design, formal aspects of Software engineering, and Internet Security.
Mr. Simmons joined Sun Microsystems in 1996 from Thinking Machines
Corporation, where he worked in a variety of software areas related to high
performance computing during his 8 years with the company. He holds an S.M.
degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.

Lee Liming is the project manager for the Distributed Systems Laboratory
in the Mathematics and Computer Science division at Argonne National
Laboratory. A recent addition to the Globus Team, Lee supports the Globus
Project's collaborative activities at Argonne, the USC Information Sciences
Institute, and various other locations.

Kumaran Kalyanasundaram received his Ph.D in Computational Fluid Dynamics
from Iowa State University in November, 1994. His dissertation involved
developing a parallel surface reconstruction algorithm for recreating
2-manifold surfaces in 3D. Kumaran has been with SGI since February
1995. He works for the Technology Center and is involved in tuning and
benchmarking scientific applications on SGI's high end architectures.
Kumaran also teaches performance tuning classes at various
universities. For the past few months Kumaran has been the Technical
Lead for Linux clusters within the Technology Center. Kumaran has given
talks on clusters, and demonstrated an SGI 1200 compute cluster, at Linux
World, Comdex, and SGI's and Linux Journal's Linux University.

Mario Lauria is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and
Information Sciences at the Ohio State University. His interests include
commodity cluster architectures and high performance communication software
for clusters. He has worked on a number of cluster projects including Fast
Messages (FM), HPVM, and the NT Supercluster at NCSA. Mario Lauria holds a
Laurea degree in EE and a Ph.D in EE and CS from the "Federico II"
University of Naples, Italy, and an MS in Computer Science from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
