Professor and Chair The emphasis of this course is for improved understanding of the principles of science, engineering, and economics, coupled with relevant design experience. Economics and design issues are inextricably linked in the product/service life cycle. The course underscores the need for economic understanding while making engineering decisions. The course aims at bringing the realities of economics and engineering into the classroom and to help students integrate these issues when contemplating many engineering decisions.
